I've always loved this print. Because it's totally true - I like people who smile when it's raining.

Because this isn't a one night stand, but a true love affair. Pink, I know you're only a color, but you have my heart.

My love for peach has been going strong for quite some time now. I mean it was one of our wedding colors. Wedding colors - I still find it a funny concept, but mint green and peach will forever have a place in my heart.
Anyway, this post isn't about peach, or about mint green, but about pink. Oh dear, delightful pink, I am falling truly, madly, deeply in love with you. How come it took me so long to see your true beauty? I'm just happy to be here now. You, my lovely pink, are currently rocking my world.

It's hard to believe we're just about three months into the new year. I can't wait for this space to change, but for now, I was happy to take advantage of the rare fog we had the other day. I always get so jealous of the beautiful images of the Pacific Northwest fog, like this and this. So, so gorgeous.

Flower crowns for a Friday. Can it get much better?

Sometimes the snow is just a dusting of beautiful glitter, and for that moment, it seems absolutely magical.

I can't wait for sun soaked mornings with dewy grass that awaits my feet. For crisp and crumbly leaves to redefine themselves, as soft and velvety beings. For all the alien-like sprouts to emerge from the ground in their unimaginably vibrant colors. Spring, you have every ounce of me, forever and always.

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting. ~e.e. cummings, 1955

Sometimes I like to pretend to pack my bag and just go...to the beach, that is.

The coldness of the ocean's water hitting my extremities and ever so slightly getting into my wetsuit during a summer's night dive cannot even compare to the dry, harsh coldness I feel as I walk through the crispy and barren winter woods. Though it tries for a moment, it is a losing battle -- the ocean always wins.

We have been very lucky this winter, which makes this past snowstorm that much harder to handle. I know I can't complain, but hey, this is me complaining. I WANT SPRING.

I blame (or thank) one of my old professors for making me fall in love with diptychs. There is just something so intriguing about how two separate images can interact with one another. For some diptych inspiration, you should check out my new Pinterest board.
It's true...I'm easy to delight.

Don't let the nature studies fool you. Despite the absolute perfect spring day we had last weekend, our grounds are currently filled with our first real snow this year. It's most definitely pretty, but in my opinion, it's got nothing on spring sunshine.

The brutal cold (although really not brutal compared to other places) has finally hit us and I just want to wrap myself up in a blanket while continually dreaming of spring. Just thinking of the weeks ahead when this spot will (hopefully) be covered in beautiful greenery is putting a grin on my face. Well maybe it's making me think of grinning without actually making me grin. Hey, it's a step.

Another venture into the current, nameless works. It hit me that maybe they're meant to be nameless - there can be something poetic about namelessness, right? Perhaps they are just studies - studies of self and studies of nature.

I realize that I sound like (and think like) a broken record, but times goes SO fast. I feel like this year is off to an especially fast start. And so it begins again..another day, another week.

And the saga continues. New work, but oh so nameless.
