Sometimes you just need a little bit of everything to get you through (I am most definitely like that with Chinese food). Some current nature studies, a new diptych, and a new exploration of self portraiture with that diptych.

I've been waiting so patiently for the first buds to bloom, for the first flowers to spring from the ground, for the rain to do what it's best at doing. Just waiting. Any day now, I'm sure. Oh patience, you're a tricky thing to conquer.
To throw the most perfectly imperfect paint splatter. Yes, those are my dreams as an artist. My perfectionist tendencies have always been a struggle, but recently my imperfections in painting have been a happy place. And these sea studies - they have my heart singing! Happy Friday!
My love for peach has been going strong for quite some time now. I mean it was one of our wedding colors. Wedding colors - I still find it a funny concept, but mint green and peach will forever have a place in my heart.
Anyway, this post isn't about peach, or about mint green, but about pink. Oh dear, delightful pink, I am falling truly, madly, deeply in love with you. How come it took me so long to see your true beauty? I'm just happy to be here now. You, my lovely pink, are currently rocking my world.
Flower crowns for a Friday. Can it get much better?
I can't wait for sun soaked mornings with dewy grass that awaits my feet. For crisp and crumbly leaves to redefine themselves, as soft and velvety beings. For all the alien-like sprouts to emerge from the ground in their unimaginably vibrant colors. Spring, you have every ounce of me, forever and always.

Don't let the nature studies fool you. Despite the absolute perfect spring day we had last weekend, our grounds are currently filled with our first real snow this year. It's most definitely pretty, but in my opinion, it's got nothing on spring sunshine.
Another venture into the current, nameless works. It hit me that maybe they're meant to be nameless - there can be something poetic about namelessness, right? Perhaps they are just studies - studies of self and studies of nature.
And the saga continues. New work, but oh so nameless.
I've been slowly updating my website so that it includes my most current work. My only problem, as always, are the titles. They are the last thing I think of and the absolute last thing I want to come up with. Every time I choose one for a series, I'm over it by day two. I like names that are simple, yet poetic. The struggle is real.
Luster, blush, exuberance, contact...the list continues. Help? Nameless, but poetic?
