Before I get on my way with Fabulous Photo Friday, check out my guest post on
from Wednesday if you want to get lost in some more photo stuff!
I am currently in Baltimore (which does not at all fit the image I had of it in my mind), listening to Norah Jones Holiday Station on Pandora, and could not be happier to have a few days to just catch up on work. Believe it or not, I am also excited to have some time to work out. Yes...treadmill..here I come and I cannot wait. I've been so busy that I've definitely been neglecting running, so I know it will feel good to get a few runs in this weekend.
I cannot believe it's already December and that Christmas will be here before we know it. I cannot wait. I love, love, love this time of the year (minus the cold).
Anyway, I have always seen the photographer of the week's pictures floating around, but never knew a name to the picture. Needless to say, I love her work and I'm sure you will too. Here's the photographer of the week:
This week I tried to do what I called "Mesh Beck," where I didn't exactly try to mimic Beck's work, but I was definitely inspired by her work. I paid close attention to color, objects, and patterns in her work, and took some images I had that were pretty gritty and incorporated a touch of her in them. Not exactly sure what I think yet - didn't do enough to get anywhere - but I think there might be something there. What do you think?!
I obviously used two totally different techniques in the two images I messed around with - not sure which one works better. Suggestions?
Well, Happy Friday! I am finally off for a run. Enjoy the weekend everyone :)
